Severe Motorcycle Crash on Germany’s B486 Injures Rider, Causes Road Closure

On the afternoon of 10 June 2026, a 37‑year‑old motorcyclist from Mörfelden collided head‑on with a 35‑year‑old driver from Langen on the B486 near an Aral service station in Mörfelden‑Walldorf. The motorcyclist, attempting to overtake a traffic jam by moving onto the opposite lane, was struck when the driver re‑entered the road. The rider sustained serious injuries and was taken by emergency services to a nearby hospital. The driver escaped unharmed. Police estimated vehicle damage at roughly €7,000 and temporarily closed the road in both directions to conduct investigations and clear the wreckage. Authorities have asked witnesses to contact the police with any information about the crash.
