A multi‑vehicle collision on the B1 highway in Unna on Friday morning left a 55‑year‑old man from Fröndenberg with serious injuries. Police reported that a transport truck struck a car, which then collided with the motorcyclist’s scooter, disabling all three vehicles.

Later that week, a separate crash in Oberhausen involved a 24‑year‑old motorcyclist who struck a curb and a streetlamp, killing him on the scene.
