Severe storms and flooding threats impact Iowa and West Virginia

Severe weather threats are impacting multiple regions across the United States. The primary concerns include damaging winds, hail, and the potential for tornadoes. Additionally, saturated ground and high atmospheric moisture have created a significant risk for flash flooding, particularly in areas that have already received heavy rainfall this week.

In West Virginia, weather officials have issued slight risks for both excessive rainfall and severe weather. Forecasts indicate threats of lightning, heavy rain, and wind gusts reaching up to 60 mph.
