Severe weather alerts issued for heavy rain and flooding across US regions

Multiple regions across the United States are facing severe weather conditions, including heavy rainfall, flooding risks, and high wind gusts.

In the Southeast, heavy rainfall exceeding 9 inches has triggered flood alerts for Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas, causing rivers to rise. Delaware is also under a weather alert with approximately 3 inches of rain expected and a significant risk of flooding.

In the Northeast, New York City and Long Island are bracing for heavy rain and strong wind gusts reaching between 34 and 40 mph. Meanwhile, in West Virginia, temperatures are expected to fluctuate significantly; after a period of above-average warmth, a cold front is projected to bring a rapid temperature drop and potential rain or snow flurries in higher elevations by the weekend.
