United States experiences severe thunderstorms and wildfire warnings

Multiple regions across the United States are experiencing severe weather, including thunderstorms, high winds, and fire risks.

In the central United States, severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for parts of Colorado, including Adams and Arapahoe Counties, with threats of 80 mph wind gusts and golf ball-sized hail. In Mississippi, Entergy reported that recent thunderstorms caused significant damage to infrastructure, including over 40 poles and 89,000 feet of downed wire, leaving thousands of customers without power.

In the western United States, Red Flag Warnings have been issued for portions of California, Nevada, Oregon, and Idaho due to low humidity and gusty winds, creating critical fire weather conditions. Additionally, the Storm Prediction Center has monitored severe potential across the Great Plains and Midwest, noting risks of large hail and damaging wind gusts in areas such as South Dakota, Nebraska, Illinois, and Iowa.
