Severe weather warnings issued for New England and Tasmania

Severe weather warnings have been issued for different regions in the United States and Australia.

In southern New England, the National Weather Service is monitoring a developing coastal storm that may impact Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut late this week. While the storm's exact track and intensity are uncertain, it could bring gusty winds, rainfall, beach erosion, and coastal flooding. A Gale Watch is currently in effect for portions of southern ocean waters through Thursday.

In Tasmania, Australia, the Bureau of Meteorology has forecast a strong cold front capable of producing damaging northwesterly winds. Wind gusts exceeding 100km/h are expected along the East Coast, with potential for fallen trees, power outages, and property damage. The Tasmania SES has advised residents across various districts to prepare emergency kits and secure loose outdoor items.
