Plavi Orkestar to headline Dubrovnik New Year's concert

A wave of cultural events is set to take place across the region in the coming months.

On 15 October 2026 the American death‑metal pioneers Suffocation will perform at Boogaloou in Zagreb, marking the 35th anniversary of their classic album Effigy of the Forgotten.

The iconic Croatian pop‑rock group Plavi Orkestar has been confirmed as the headline act for Dubrovnik’s New Year’s celebration on Stradun on 31 December 2026, part of the newly rebranded "Advent u Gradu" winter festival.

Other major concerts include Severina’s open‑air show on 25 July 2026 at Vidikovac Gospe od Loreta above Primošten, and Sara Renar’s album‑promotion concert on 26 September 2026 at the Močvara club in Zagreb.

In Split, DJ and supporter Ivana Knoll will appear on 19 July 2026, while Dubrovnik’s historic parish church hosted an international choir tour on 17 July 2026, featuring five Austrian choirs and local artists.

Literary gatherings will occur in Tivat (Montenegro) for Miodrag Majić’s novel Priznanje and Branka Bogavac’s book Pisci svijeta, as well as a dual‑author presentation in Zadar’s Providurova Palace.

Music festivals continue in Varaždin (Fontana Blues Festival 24‑25 July 2026), Jurandvor (Dobro Est Fest) and Krk (baroque oratorio and concert “Granice srca” 23‑25 July 2026).
