Severní energetická to donate 213 million CZK to Most region municipalities

Severní energetická, a mining group, has prepared donation agreements for municipalities in the Most region totaling 213 million CZK. These funds are derived from 470 million CZK saved during the reclamation of the ČSA mine.

Under the proposed agreements, the municipalities of Vrskmaň, Vysoká Pec, and Most are each slated to receive 50 million CZK. Vysoká Pec intends to use its portion to co-finance the construction of a new primary school and nursery, which will include a multifunctional gymnasium. Vrskmaň plans to repurpose a dilapidated building into a care home, while the Krušné hory municipalities association will invest in a transport and warning system.

The company aims to finalize all payments by November. While the company initially considered distributing funds through the State Environmental Fund (SFŽP), it has opted to negotiate directly with the municipalities to expedite the process.
