Sevilla Airport Aircraft Auction Starts at €10

Spain's airport operator Aena has placed an abandoned Piper PA‑23 Apache twin‑engine aircraft, left at Sevilla Airport for at least eight years, on a public auction. After three notices in the Official State Gazette failed to locate an owner, the plane was declared legally abandoned and offered for sale with a symbolic opening bid of €10 and a required guarantee of €50.

The aircraft, a 1950s American‑made four‑seat metal‑skinned model, is no longer airworthy and cannot be returned to service. Aena says the auction is open to any individual, company or institution, and the low starting price has drawn strong interest from aviation enthusiasts and collectors who view the plane as a historical or decorative piece rather than a functional aircraft.
