Siga la Vaca restaurant fire forces evacuation in Puerto Madero

A fire broke out on Sunday afternoon at the Siga la Vaca restaurant in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, leading to the evacuation of approximately 50 people. The blaze originated in the restaurant's exhaust hood, likely due to grease accumulation, and spread to the terrace and roof area.

While the fire produced a large column of smoke visible from several kilometers away, it did not reach the main dining room. Firefighters and SAME emergency personnel responded to the scene, controlling the flames by approximately 7:00 PM. Two adult men were treated on-site with oxygen therapy after attempting to help extinguish the fire before emergency services arrived; neither required hospitalization as they did not show signs of severe carbon monoxide poisoning.
