Sevilla FC eyes exits for Rubén Vargas and Tanguy Nianzou this summer

Swiss winger Rubén Vargas, whose strong World Cup showing has drawn attention, is the subject of a bidding war in the Premier League. Aston Villa, led by Unai Emery, and Brighton are both reported to be pushing for his signature, with the Villa bid described as financially powerful enough to "burst" negotiations. Sevilla’s board hopes the competition will raise Vargas’s market value, estimated at around €20 million.

French defender Tanguy Nianzou, sidelined by recurring injuries, is being linked with a move to Lille in Ligue 1. Despite a contract with Sevilla until 2027, the club’s need to cut wages has intensified talks. Lille’s interest hinges on Nianzou passing a medical exam, after which his departure would free a significant salary slot for Sevilla as it seeks to stabilise its finances during the transfer window.
