Sevilla FC implements tactical changes following summer transfers

Manager Luis García Plaza has expressed high satisfaction with the recruitment efforts led by sporting director José Ignacio Navarro and President José María del Nido Carrasco, noting that the new signings address priority needs for the 2026/27 season.

The arrival of offensive reinforcements, including Lucas Stassin and Robbie Ure, allows the team to utilize a 4-4-2 system with two natural strikers. This influx of talent has contributed to a strong start in LaLiga, with two victories in the first three matches.

However, the squad overhaul means several players are no longer central to the manager's plans. The club is reportedly looking to facilitate exits in January for players such as Isaac Romero and Gerard ‘Peque’ Fernández. Additionally, Rubén Vargas remains in the squad but is expected to see limited minutes as the club seeks to capitalize on his market value.
