Sevilla FC negotiates Rubén Vargas transfer to Olympiacos

Negotiations between Sevilla FC and Olympiacos regarding the transfer of Swiss winger Rubén Vargas have entered a decisive stage. Sevilla has maintained a firm stance, demanding a total of €15 million for the 28-year-old. While Olympiacos has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the player and submitted an offer consisting of €12 million plus €2 million in bonuses, the clubs are working to bridge the remaining gap.

Bologna FC has also expressed interest in Vargas, though Olympiacos currently holds a stronger position regarding the player's preference due to the prospect of European football. Vargas reportedly prefers the move to Olympiacos.

In anticipation of a potential departure, Sevilla is exploring alternatives to replace Vargas. The Spanish club is reportedly considering Bryan Gil, an attacker previously associated with Olympiacos, whose market value is estimated between €8 million and €10 million. Sevilla requires the proceeds from a sale to fund at least three additional squad additions.
