Sevilla FC reduces debt to 60 million euros
Sevilla FC President José María del Nido Carrasco has announced significant progress in the club’s financial restructuring. He stated that the club’s net debt has been reduced from 90 million to 60 million euros. Additionally, club expenses have been lowered from 265 million to 135 million euros over the last 24 months.
Regarding the recent transfer window, Carrasco described the activity as “responsible, both in the sporting and economic aspects.” The club completed 21 operations, consisting of 10 signings and 11 departures. A key highlight was the late acquisition of Youssouf Fofana on loan from AC Milan. Carrasco also expressed satisfaction with the work of sporting director José Ignacio Navarro.
Addressing financial concerns, the president denied rumors that Goldman Sachs could seize club shares due to non-payment, asserting that loans are being serviced normally.
