Sevilla FC secures defender Andrés Castrín with contract extension to 2030

Sevilla FC has agreed to extend the contract of central defender Andrés Castrín until 2030, adding three seasons to his deal. The renewal includes a €10 million release clause, a salary increase and a clause that promotes him permanently to the first team once he turns 23, preventing a return to the reserve side.

The club’s sporting director José Ignacio Navarro and head coach Luis García Plaza oversaw the negotiations, which were reported by journalist Ángel García. Several Spanish clubs, including Osasuna, Villarreal, Getafe and Levante, as well as foreign teams, have shown interest in Castrín, prompting Sevilla to act quickly to lock him down.

The extension aims to provide stability to Sevilla’s defensive line and protect the player from potential suitors in the upcoming transfer window.
