Sevilla FC Targets Argentine Striker David Romero

Sevilla FC has opened formal negotiations for Tigre forward David Romero, a 23‑year‑old striker who scored seven goals and added two assists in the Torneo Apertura. The Andalusian club submitted an official offer that is expected to be in the €7‑8 million range, aiming to strengthen its attack without a large budget impact.

Sevilla faces competition from Italian side Parma and reports indicate interest from clubs in the United Arab Emirates, Boca Juniors and others. The club’s sporting department, led by José Ignacio Navarro, also evaluated alternative targets such as former Real Oviedo forward Fede Viñas, whose move to Liga MX side Toluca remains under discussion. Romero’s decision is expected soon as Tigre weighs the offers received.
