Sevilla FC targets Pierre-Emile Højbjerg for January transfer

Sevilla FC has identified Danish international Pierre-Emile Højbjerg as a priority target for the January transfer window. The club is looking to strengthen its midfield with high-level leadership and physical presence.

Højbjerg, currently with Olympique de Marseille, is considered a key target due to his contractual situation. Marseille reportedly seeks to reduce its wage bill, as Højbjerg is the highest-paid player in their squad with a monthly salary of 500,000 euros. The transfer fee for the 31-year-old is estimated to be between 15 and 17.5 million euros.

The potential arrival of Højbjerg could facilitate the departure of Lucien Agoumé, who has attracted interest from several European clubs. Selling Agoumé would provide Sevilla with significant financial gains, though Inter Milan retains a 10% percentage of any future sale of the French midfielder.
