Akor Adams close to €16 million move from Sevilla to Venezia
Nigerian striker Akor Adams, 26, is on the verge of leaving Sevilla for Italian side Venezia. Venezia sporting director Filippo Antonelli said negotiations are "very advanced" but still require final contractual details. The deal is reported to be a €16 million fixed fee with performance‑related bonuses that could raise the total to around €23‑24 million.
Sevilla is motivated by financial pressures, seeing the transfer as a key source of revenue to balance its books after a season battling relegation. The move would be Sevilla’s first major summer sale, with the club also planning further departures, including Joaquín Martínez to Fiorentina, Tanguy Nianzou to Lille and Chidera Ejuke pending offers.
Venezia, freshly promoted to Serie A after winning the Serie B title, have already bolstered their squad with several signings and view Adams as a priority to strengthen their attack for the upcoming top‑flight campaign.
