Sevilla handball club debuts in Liga ASOBAL as Universidad Católica signs youth players

Cajasol Sevilla BM Proin is set to debut in Spain's top-tier handball league, Liga ASOBAL, marking the first time a team from Sevilla has competed in the division. The club achieved promotion after a rapid ascent from the fourth tier to the elite level within five years. Their debut is scheduled for September 12 with an Andalusian derby.

In Chilean football, Universidad Católica has secured the professional futures of three youth prospects. Forwards Amaro Riveros and Bayron Lizama, along with goalkeeper Cristóbal Del Río, have signed their first professional contracts. The club aims to integrate these players from their academy into the first team to prevent talent loss.
