Sevilla opens new inclusive playground in La Buhaira

The city of Sevilla has inaugurated a new inclusive playground in the Jardines de la Buhaira following a municipal investment of 240,000 euros. The project features a 250-square-meter play area within a 1,000-square-meter environment, centered around a 5.64-meter-tall castle tower.

Designed with accessibility in mind, the park includes multisensory games to stimulate sight, hearing, and touch, as well as accessible swings and age-appropriate climbing zones. Unique musical elements, such as a xylophone, bells, and various tubes, have been installed to encourage shared play among children with different abilities.

This project is part of a broader municipal plan to modernize children's areas across various neighborhoods, with total investments reaching 11 million euros to date. The program has already completed renovations on the flooring of 29 playgrounds throughout the city.
