Sevilla: Police clash with antifascist and far-right protesters

Clashes occurred in Sevilla on October 3, 2026, between antifascist protesters and the far-right organization Núcleo Nacional. The incidents began around 7:00 PM near Plaza Nueva, where over a thousand antifascist demonstrators gathered. Police intervened after participants failed to follow orders to disperse.

To prevent direct confrontation, the National Police blocked Núcleo Nacional from entering Plaza Nueva. Approximately 100 members of the group relocated their demonstration to Plaza de España under police escort. However, antifascist protesters attempted to reach Plaza de España, bypassing police cordons. This led to further police charges and the use of tear gas to disperse the crowd. The demonstrations concluded around 9:30 PM, with no official reports yet regarding injuries or arrests.
