Sevilla tranvibús to complete full route to Plaza del Duque on September 28

Sevilla's tranvibús (BRT) service will complete its full route on September 28, connecting Torreblanca and Sevilla Este directly to the city center at Plaza del Duque. Currently, the TB1 line terminates at Prado de San Sebastián, but the new extension will link these residential areas to the urban core without the need for transfers.

The project involves significant urban transformation along the La Campana–Santa Justa axis. Improvements include the installation of new Tussam stops, renovated shelters, renovated sidewalks, and an expanded single-level platform to eliminate height differences between the road and sidewalk. The project also features environmental enhancements, such as the planting of over 60 trees and shrubs.

To ensure efficiency, Tussam has coordinated traffic light priority at central crossings. The reorganization of bus stops in the city center will prioritize the tranvibús, making it the primary public transport mode for the axis. Conventional bus lines will modify their terminals to avoid overlap and improve service fluidity.
