Seville announces new Local Police headquarters in Macarena district

The Seville City Council has unveiled a project for a new Local Police headquarters in the Macarena district. The facility will be constructed on a 1,513-square-meter plot within the Hogar San Fernando civic center, located near the municipal shelter.

The new building will feature approximately 580 square meters of constructed space distributed across two floors. Designed using industrialized construction methods, the headquarters will include specialized areas for public service, administrative tasks, and internal use for officers, including hygiene and rest facilities. The site will also provide parking for 23 vehicles.

Blanca Gastalver, the Delegate for Municipal Buildings, stated that the project represents a step forward in providing facilities suitable for 21st-century policing. The strategic location near the municipal shelter aims to address historical local concerns regarding security, such as drug dealing and public disturbances. Additionally, the chosen site allows for future expansion should service needs increase.
