Seville audiovisual productions approach 200 shoots in eight months

Seville is experiencing a significant surge in audiovisual production, approaching 200 film shoots within an eight-month period. According to data from the Sevilla Film Office, the city reached 236 productions in total during a previous cycle, which included an investment of over 17 million euros.

In the current year up to August, 173 shoots have already been recorded. The variety of productions includes nine feature films, eight series, 23 documentaries, 40 television programs or reports, and various short films, music videos, and commercials.

Piluca Querol, director of the Andalucía Film Commission, noted that the city is adept at managing large-scale events and highlighted the importance of the CECOP and international promotion in supporting this growth, alongside the local talent of Andalusian producers, screenwriters, and directors.
