Ana Buza death trial continues in Seville
The trial regarding the 2019 death of 19-year-old Ana Buza on the A-4 highway near Carmona has entered its third session at the Seville Provincial Court. The case centers on whether her death was an accident or a result of violence.
While the prosecution and the victim's family argue the death was a result of gender-based violence and that the accused, Rafael V. P., manipulated investigators, the defense maintains it was a traffic accident. Witnesses testified that the vehicle's doors and windows were closed when they arrived at the scene, and they noted the defendant appeared nervous.
Ana Buza's father, Antonio Buza, has criticized the initial investigation, which he claims was closed prematurely as a suicide or accident, and has accused the defendant of being manipulative toward authorities.
