Seville judge orders noise limits for local festivals

A judge in Seville has ordered the La Puebla de los Infantes City Council to implement strict control and inspection measures regarding noise levels from local bar activities during popular festivals. The ruling follows a complaint from a resident who reported seven years of unbearable noise and disturbances caused by a bar's terrace and musical performances.

The magistrate stated that while the goal is not to end local festivals, there must be limits to ensure they are regulated in a way that minimizes harm to third parties and protects the right to rest. The court rejected the City Council's argument that the noise did not pose a health risk because the complainant was using the property as a second residence rather than a primary home.
