Seville launches digital platforms for smart park and tourism intelligence
The Cartuja Scientific and Technological Park (Sevilla TechPark) has issued a €2.31 million tender to develop a digital platform that will integrate public lighting, access control, mobility monitoring and security functions across the park. The project is part of the eCitySevilla initiative, a collaboration between the Junta de Andalucía, the Seville City Council, Sevilla TechPark and energy company Endesa, aiming to transform the 200‑hectare campus—home to more than 500 companies and around 30,000 daily users—into a testbed for smart‑city solutions.
Separately, the provincial informatics society INPRO, on behalf of the Seville provincial council, is rolling out a Tourism Intelligence Platform for the province. The system will digitise at least 1,000 tourist assets across 15 municipalities and connect to the national SEGITTUR Intelligent Destination Platform, allowing businesses and authorities to access analysed tourism data. The initiative is funded by the European Union’s NextGenerationEU recovery programme.
