Seville proposes 50% tax cuts for electric vehicle charging stations

The Seville City Council, under the administration of José Luis Sanz, has proposed new tax ordinances for 2027 aimed at expanding electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The plan includes a 50% tax reduction for non-residential properties that install charging points.

This incentive will apply to the Property Tax (IBI), the Tax on Constructions, Installations, and Works (ICIO), and the Tax on Economic Activities (IAE). The measure is intended to encourage businesses, commercial establishments, and garage owners to deploy a charging network throughout the city.

However, the proposed tax relief excludes private residents, focusing specifically on non-residential use. To receive the benefit, applicants must request recognition of the discount by March 1st or the following business day.
