Seville region bullfighting events showcase tradition and charity

A Sunday novillada at Seville's Plaza de la Maestranza featured six young toreros, including Mariscal Ruiz, who awarded an ear to a novice after a lackluster performance that drew little audience amid ongoing election coverage.

In the nearby town of Morón, young bullfighter Martín Morilla performed a solo encierro, cutting six ears and opening the Puerta Grande. The event, broadcast on Canal Sur, raised €53,679 for the restoration of San Francisco and San Miguel churches and to support the local APHNE charity for children with complex illnesses.
