Seville residents protest closure of Polígono Sur library

Residents of the Polígono Sur neighborhood in Seville are protesting the August closure of the El Esqueleto library. Unlike other municipal libraries that maintain reduced summer hours, this facility remains closed from August 3 until September 7.

Local citizens have described the situation as a “comparative grievance,” noting that the facility lacks the staff to ensure continuous service. The library, located in the Murillo district, is the only one in the area, leaving residents without access to study rooms or library services for over a month. This follows a similar closure in July of the previous year.
