Seville's Real Maestranza unveils 2026 'Rumbo al Futuro' novilladas series
The company Lances de Futuro, led by José María Garzón, presented the 2026 cycle of promotion novilladas for the Real Maestranza de Sevilla under the theme “Rumbo al Futuro”. The launch took place aboard the replica ship Nao Victoria 500, symbolising the historic first circumnavigation, and was attended by regional officials including Antonio Sanz and Ricardo Sánchez.
Eighteen young novilleros—11 from Andalusia, five from other parts of Spain, and two from Colombia and Mexico—were selected to compete in four events scheduled for 25 June, 2 July, 9 July and a final on 16 July at the Coso del Baratillo. The first three shows will serve as qualifiers, with three finalists competing for the title at the July 16 finale. Tickets range from €10 to €30, with discounts for youth and multi‑event passes.
The programme aims to showcase emerging talent in bullfighting and reaffirm Sevilla’s role as a leading venue for the sport.
