Sevinç Baykan Özden elected President of Union of Turkish City Councils

Sevinç Baykan Özden has been elected as the 18th Term President of the Union of Turkish City Councils. The election took place during the union’s 17th Term Board of Directors meeting held in Ankara.

Özden, who currently serves as the President of the Balıkesir City Council, was chosen unanimously by the council presidents. During the same session, Ahmet Kapanoğlu, President of the Eskişehir City Council, was elected as the 17th Term President. The general assembly also included the election of the Executive Board and other administrative units for the new term.
