SEW-Eurodrive and WEG showcase new drive technologies at SPS 2026

At the SPS 2026 trade fair in Nuremberg, SEW-Eurodrive and WEG are presenting advanced motor and drive solutions designed for high dynamics and modular machine construction.

SEW-Eurodrive introduced the PxG integrated series, a compact precision planetary gear motor that combines a servomotor and gearbox into a single unit. By eliminating the traditional adapter shaft, the design is up to 40 percent shorter than conventional models, potentially increasing productivity in short-cycle applications by up to 34 percent. Additionally, the company showcased Movidyn, a decentralized servo system that integrates drive technology directly into machines to reduce cabinet space, minimize wiring, and improve energy efficiency through a common DC intermediate circuit.

WEG is highlighting three specific motor series: the W30Slim Smart EC, which features integrated electronics and cooling for ventilation and cooling systems; the W80 AXgen axial flux motor, noted for its high power density; and the W22 Prime asynchronous motor, designed for high-efficiency operation.
