SEW-EURODRIVE celebrates 40 years in South Africa

SEW-EURODRIVE South Africa is preparing to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026. Established in the country in 1986, the company has transitioned from a provider of geared motors to a comprehensive drive technology business.

Its current operations include industrial gear units, motors, electronics, automation, mechatronics, condition monitoring, and lifecycle services. Managing Director Raymond Obermeyer noted that the milestone represents a depth of engineering knowledge and local infrastructure developed to support industrial challenges across Africa.
