Criminal incidents reported across the Balkan region

Various criminal incidents and police operations have been reported across the Balkan region.

In Croatia, a 46-year-old man was arrested in Zagreb after a high-speed chase involving a BMW and driving under the influence (1.81 g/kg alcohol). In Split, police are investigating the sexual abuse of a 20-year-old prisoner, and a 52-year-old man was found dead in a prison cell. Additionally, police in Zagreb warned of scams targeting elderly citizens in Sesvete and Peščenica.

In Austria, a Bosnian citizen was sentenced to 18 months in prison for a series of burglaries motivated by his daughter's medical expenses.
