Seychelles First Lady launches ‘Welcome to Puberty’ Initiative

Seychelles First Lady Veronique Herminie has officially launched the ‘Welcome to Puberty’ Initiative at the SITE Auditorium in Mont Fleuri. The program is a collaborative effort between the Office of the First Lady, the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, and the WOSITA Foundation.

The initiative aims to provide young girls with practical support, reliable information, and the confidence necessary to navigate puberty. It also seeks to foster more open and supportive conversations regarding physical changes and adolescent development.

During the soft launch, 49 S1 students from English River Secondary School received puberty packs. This event marks the beginning of a broader rollout intended to distribute 600 puberty packs to schools across the country.
