Seychelles President discusses innovation and food security with entrepreneurs

President Patrick Herminie of Seychelles met with representatives from Marcelin Global Holdings to discuss the role of youth, technological innovation, and economic self-sufficiency in the nation's development. During the meeting with founder Danio Marcelin and shareholder Raj Kowlessur, discussions centered on leveraging technology to address national challenges and reduce dependence on external markets.

A key focus of the dialogue was food security, specifically regarding the Terra Project proposed by Marcelin Global Holdings. This initiative aims to introduce smart and autonomous farming technologies to advance agricultural production. President Herminie highlighted the importance of rebuilding local productive capacity, noting that the country previously achieved approximately 80 per cent self-sufficiency in poultry and pork production.
