Chihuahua educators receive vehicle and technology awards

The Chihuahua Secretariat of Education and Sport (SEyD), in coordination with the State Educational Services (SEECH) and Section 8 of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE), held an awards ceremony to commemorate Teacher's Day 2026.

A total of 94 educators and support staff from the federalized subsystem received prizes, including 14 latest-model vehicles, 40 laptops, and 40 television screens. Half of the vehicles were specifically distributed to personnel honored for 30, 40, or more years of service. The remaining technological equipment and vehicles were assigned to the general teaching community.

Eduardo Antonio Zendejas Amparán, general secretary of SNTE Section 8, noted that the budget for this edition was 5.6 million pesos, a significant increase from the 1.6 million pesos allocated in 2022. The ceremony, held at the Plaza de la Revolución, recognized teachers from various regions including Juárez, Delicias, Parral, and Chihuahua.
