SEyT strengthens academic and productive sector ties in Chiapas

Luis Pedrero González, head of the Chiapas Secretariat of Economy and Labor (SEyT), has been appointed as a member of the Linkage Council for the Tecnológico Nacional de México (TecNM) campus in Tuxtla Gutiérrez.

During the council's installation, Marisa Guadalupe Flores Aguilar, director of the TecNM Tuxtla Gutiérrez campus, emphasized the importance of strategic alliances between academia and the productive sector. The goal is to ensure higher education meets evolving labor market demands and supports regional development projects, such as the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.

Key strategies discussed include the dual training model, which allows students to gain practical experience in workplaces, and the use of micro-credentials to update professional knowledge and respond to market changes.
