Seyyed Hossein Marashi warns of political extremism in Iran

Seyyed Hossein Marashi, Secretary-General of the Construction Party, has issued a warning regarding rising political extremism and threats of violence in Iran. In a recent note, Marashi highlighted an incident involving Abbas Akhoundi at the National Library as a serious warning that requires government attention.

Marashi emphasized that while disagreements regarding tactics and methods for addressing national issues—such as ending conflicts—are natural, the use of threats, violence, or assassination attempts against those with differing views poses a grave danger to the country. He noted that such actions, including verbal abuse directed at figures like Hassan Rouhani and Mohammad Javad Zarif, as well as physical threats, must be addressed by the President, the Minister of Interior, and security forces to maintain national security and prevent the expansion of extremism.
