Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Raji discusses cognitive warfare in Qom
During a mourning ceremony at the Fatimah Masumeh Shrine in Qom, seminary professor Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Raji emphasized the importance of insight (basirat) as a tool to distinguish reality from conflicting narratives. He described insight as a necessity for making prudent judgments regarding complex political developments and media reports.
Raji identified negligence toward enemy intentions as a primary factor weakening the spirit of resistance in Islamic society. He warned that failing to recognize the strategic goals of opponents can lead to significant errors during critical historical turning points.
Drawing on historical accounts, Raji compared modern cognitive warfare to historical attempts to manipulate public perception through the repetition of false claims. He noted that such tactics aim to influence various social groups, including influencers and social media users, to spread specific narratives.
