Sezai Yılmaz appointed director of Ankara State Theatre

Award-winning artist Sezai Yılmaz has been appointed as the director of the Ankara State Theatre. Yılmaz brings extensive administrative and artistic experience to the role, having previously served as the director for both the Erzurum State Theatre and the Bursa State Theatre.

In addition to his leadership roles, Yılmaz is a recognized performer. He recently received the ‘Actor of the Year’ award at the 11th International Anadolu Theatre Awards for his performance in the play ‘Dünyanın Eski Zamanlarında’.

Born in Erzurum in 1978, Yılmaz graduated from Atatürk University's Faculty of Fine Arts in 2002. Throughout his career, he has worked as an actor, director, and educator, teaching acting, diction, and dance at Atatürk University. He has participated in nearly 50 productions within the State Theatres framework.
