SFK 2000 Sarajevo defeats Racing Luxembourg to advance in Europe

SFK 2000 Sarajevo defeated Racing FC Union Luxembourg 4-1 in a decisive match to secure a third-place finish in the UEFA Women's Champions League second qualifying round mini-tournament.

Sarajevo established a significant lead in the first half through a penalty by Dajana Spasojević in the 38th minute, followed by a goal from Petra Pezelj in the 40th minute and a strike from Veronika Terzić during stoppage time. Although Kimberley Dos Santos scored for Luxembourg in the 58th minute to temporarily narrow the gap, Spasojević scored her second goal of the match four minutes later to finalize the score.

While the loss to PSV Eindhoven previously ended Sarajevo's hopes of reaching the Champions League league phase, this victory ensures they continue their European campaign in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Women's Europa Cup.
