SFR labor unions sue Bouygues Telecom, Free, and Orange

Social and works councils (CSE) from SFR, SFR Distribution, and Coriolis have filed a lawsuit against the consortium of buyers—Bouygues Telecom, Free, and Orange—seeking greater transparency regarding the social implications of the SFR acquisition.

The legal action, filed on September 18, 2026, aims to access critical documents, including acquisition agreements, synergy modeling, integration costs, and financial estimates for social commitments. The unions are concerned about the potential impact on staff, as it is estimated that approximately 5,000 employees may not be retained by the three buyers.

Represented by lawyer Roger Koskas, the unions are requesting an accelerated procedure and have asked for a penalty of 10,000 euros per day for each document withheld. This follows a previous legal step taken in early September against the management of Altice France due to a perceived lack of information regarding the restructuring and the division of SFR.
