SFT Future Conference to discuss sports international exchange

The Sports For Tomorrow Consortium (SFTC), in co-hosting with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), will hold the ‘SFT Future Conference’ on September 27, 2026, at JICA Chubu Nagoya Global Plaza.

Using the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Games as a catalyst, the event aims to discuss the practice and future of international sports exchange, cooperation, and multicultural coexistence. The conference will bring together diverse stakeholders, including local governments, sports organizations, corporations, universities, NPOs, NGOs, athletes, and youth.

The program features an opening by Junichi Kawai, Commissioner of the Japan Sports Agency, followed by keynote sessions and talk sessions. Topics will include the social value of sports legacies and practical case studies from various organizations. The event also includes panel presentations from 21 different groups to facilitate networking and collaboration.
