SG Flensburg-Handewitt kicks off season training with four new signings

German handball club SG Flensburg-Handewitt has begun its preseason preparations with the arrival of four new players – Emil Bergholt, Arnar Freyr Arnarsson, French international Aymeric Minne and goalkeeper Simon Möller – as the squad rebuilds after the departures of Johannes Golla, Kevin Møller and Lukas Jørgensen. The team gathered for its first physical tests under coach Ales Pajovic and will spend a training camp in Malmö from 22 to 26 July, followed by test matches against Skanderborg Aarhus on 28 July and Sønderjyske on 1 August, plus two tournament games in August before the Bundesliga opener on 28 August against ThSV Eisenach.

Luca Witzke continues his rehabilitation from a shoulder operation, remaining under contract until 2027 but not yet cleared for full training. In an interview, German backcourt player Marko Grgic highlighted the importance of team cohesion and motivation as the squad integrates the newcomers, noting that the first running test went smoothly and that the upcoming camp and increased number of preparatory matches will help the team start the season strongly.
