SGAE honors seven Andalusian creators in Seville

SGAE Llave de la Casa de los Autores Andalusia Los del Río Spanish creators

The General Society of Authors and Publishers (SGAE) held a ceremony at the Instituto Andaluz del Flamenco in Seville to present the ‘Llave de la Casa de los Autores’ (Key to the House of Authors) to seven Andalusian members celebrating 50 years of affiliation.

The honorees include musical duo Los del Río (Antonio Romero Monge and Rafael Ruiz Perdigones), composer Juanini (Juan Alejandre Márquez), brothers Diego and Ángel Ruiz Geniz of the band The Storm, and lyricist Miguel Villanueva Iradi. The award was also presented posthumously to filmmaker Josefina Molina Reig.

SGAE officials, including President Antonio Onetti and Secretary General Marta Beca, described the award as a gesture of respect and justice for creators who have dedicated half a century to the institution.
