Shaab Hadramaut drawn into tough Gulf Champions League group

The draw for the third edition of the Gulf Champions League (2026–2027 season) has been completed via video link. The tournament features 12 clubs representing member national associations of the Gulf Football Association.

In Group One, Yemeni club Shaab Hadramaut will make its debut against Saudi Arabia's Neom, Qatar's Al Duhail, and Oman's Al Shabab. This marks a significant return to regional competition for the Hadramaut-based club following its domestic league success.

The group stage is scheduled to run from October 13, 2026, to February 17, 2027, using a home-and-away league format. The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarter-finals. The tournament is expected to conclude with the final in late April 2027.
