Shabana Mahmood threatens legal action against activist Danny Tommo

UK Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has threatened to use the “full force of the law” against anti-migration activist Danny Tommo, also known as Daniel Thomas, should his group engage in criminal activity. Speaking to the media, Mahmood described the Patriot Platform co-founder as a “far-right and outright racist” who is “hijacking” legitimate community concerns to divide local populations.

The tension centers on the village of Piddington in Oxfordshire, where more than 1,200 male asylum seekers are scheduled to be housed at a former Ministry of Defence site. Tommo had previously suggested that thousands of his followers could descend on the village to block the relocation.

In response to local anxieties, Mahmood stated that the asylum seekers would be provided with “self-contained facilities” to ensure they do not “put pressure” on local resources. The controversy follows a symbolic referendum in Piddington, where residents voted overwhelmingly in favor of seeking self-determination and secession from the United Kingdom to protest the proposed asylum center.
