Shabwah authorities launch aid training and new school in Ataq
In the Shabwah Governorate of Yemen, local authorities have launched several initiatives aimed at improving social services and humanitarian aid distribution in the Ataq district.
Acting Governor Ahmed Saleh al-Daghari inaugurated a training program for community committees focused on re-targeting the most vulnerable families for emergency food assistance. Organized by the Humanitarian Solidarity Association, the week-long program involves 160 trainees and aims to refine the registration process for beneficiaries of the World Food Programme to ensure aid reaches those in greatest need.
Simultaneously, the local government funded and opened the Al-Shabaka Basic School in Ataq. The project, completed by the Duroob Al-Binaa Contracting Foundation, includes four fully equipped classrooms and necessary facilities. The school is intended to provide a stable educational environment and alleviate overcrowding in existing local schools.
